When you batch cook a meal, you will be making more than one meal right?!\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">My top reason for batch cooking is the first one on my list, but all these points below hold value and will resonate with different people for different reasons.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Helps maintain healthy eating habits!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p>If you are committed to eating healthy for weight loss or for other health reasons, batch cooking and freezing into portions are a convenient way to eat healthy on the days you don't have the energy or time to cook a wholesome meal from scratch. Ultimately it stops you from reaching for convenient food that can be often processed and unhealthy.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Eases the pressure!<\/strong><\/p><p>I'm a single mum, running a small business, homeschooling my boy which makes life pretty busy. Add into the mix life's unexpected challenges and at times, you have a frazzled woman! If busy days are a regular feature in your life, take the pressure off yourself and grab a batch cooked meal from the freezer.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Frees Up Time &amp; Energy!<\/strong><\/p><p>Whilst I do enjoy cooking, sometimes I don't feel like it or simply just don't have the time or energy. Grab a meal from the freezer and just simply warm it up. Hey Presto!<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Monthly Cycle\u2026<\/strong> \u00a0<\/p><p>Women's energy levels drop during their bleed. Certainly for me, on the first day of my period, my energy levels are at their lowest and I can only do the bare minimum. Rest and nourishing foods can really help support a woman's body during her period. Having wholesome batch cooked food in your freezer is a convenient and time saving way to support your body, giving you more time to rest!<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Illness\u2026<\/strong><\/p><p>When my son is poorly, he just wants \u2018mummy cuddles\u2019 and so my time and attention is focused more upon him and his needs, which in all honesty can be demanding on a single mum like me. Having batch cooked meals in the freezer, means I don't have to worry about popping to the shop for more food. Plus, it saves me time and energy, so that I can give the extra care that my son needs.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Less waste!<\/strong><\/p><p>I hate wasting food and so batch cooking helps to avoid this. You can use up veggies to make a soup or to make a stew.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Money saver!<\/strong><\/p><p>If you are living on a tight budget, batch cooking can help reduce unnecessary spending, stop you from buying extra food and not let food go to waste.
