There's no denying how important moving your body is, no matter age, size or current state of health!<br \/><br \/>Often, physical activity is associated with going to the gym or working out. But the reality is, it can be something as simple as walking up stairs or doing some gardening. As long as you are moving your body and getting the blood pumping you are engaging in physical activity.<br \/><br \/>The benefits to physical activity are HUGE! In the Netflix documentary Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones, a common denominator of those that live to 100 was the daily exercise that was incorporated into their lifestyle. So, if you have a desire to live to a rip old age of 100 then finding ways to move your body daily is going to increase your longevity.<\/p><p>Exercise is most commonly associated with losing weight, but exercise has so many other health benefits, including improving mental health.<\/p><p>So, if you're finding that you lack drive or commitment to exercise let's look at how we can get you back on track!<br \/><br \/><strong>1. Sustainable activity - <\/strong>To make physical activity a sustainable part of your week find activities\u00a0that you enjoy. You are more likely to stay committed this way.<br \/><br \/><strong>2. Plan ahead - <\/strong>Look ahead at your week and plan in time that you will commit to moving your body. By planning ahead will help you commit to moving your body<br \/><br \/><strong>3. What works for you? - <\/strong>In other blogs, I talk about \u2018bio-individuality\u2019\u00a0(we are all unique) and so chose what works for you and your body and be aware that needs can change over time and exercise types may change. <br \/><br \/><strong>4. Make it social - <\/strong>Some people prefer to exercise with other people which not only offers support and accountability but nourishes relationships and social life as well.<br \/><br \/><strong>5. Balance - <\/strong>As with all areas of life, it's important to find a balance that works for you.<br \/><br \/><strong>6. Expand &amp; change - <\/strong>Expanding your physical activities and changing routines can be beneficial in order to keep things fresh and interesting.<\/p><p><strong>7.
