It affects how we interact with life each and every day.<\/span><\/p><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', sans-serif;\">Cultivating an open and positive\u00a0mindset should be one of our top priorities every single day! Why? Because it affects every single part of your life. Your relationships, your career, your business, your money, your health, your home environment, lifestyle and achieving your dreams!<\/span><\/p><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', sans-serif;\">A negative mindset will manifest a negative life. A positive mindset will manifest the life of your dreams. I know which one I prefer. Do you?<\/span><\/p><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', sans-serif;\">The better we develop our mindsets, the better our thoughts, decisions and\u00a0choices and overall mood. This positive state of mind, has a ripple effect that reaches into our daily lives and can transform our relationships, careers, wealth, health and lifestyles.<\/span><\/p><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', sans-serif;\">Through the eyes of a positive mindset, new and exciting opportunities will start jumping out at you. Your confidence will soar and you will feel less daunted by the thought of taking risks or a leap of faith towards your dreams.<\/span><\/p><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', sans-serif;\">It\u2019s like exercising a muscle. You train your muscles to get stronger and the same is with building a positive mindset. The more you work on a positive mindset the stronger it gets. But it doesn\u2019t stop there. It needs regular maintenance to sustain itself. How regular the maintenance needs to be, is down to the individual.<\/span><\/p><p><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', sans-serif;\">I, myself have suffered with anxiety and depression in the past. I went to dark and bleak places in my mind and I have no intention of returning. Cultivating and nourishing my mindset is a daily priority for me. Not only to keep a healthy mindset but to help me create the life of my dreams.<br \/><br \/>How you chose to cultivate a positive mindset\u00a0should be in alignment with who you are, so choose a\u00a0 'Mindset Habit' this\u00a0week and\u00a0implement it into your daily\/ weekly routine this coming week. Be mindful to choose one that you would like to continue forward into the weeks ahead.<br \/><br \/>Below are some ideas and ways of developing a positive mindset.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Go with what you feel intuitively drawn to:<\/span><br \/><br \/><strong>MIND-SET<\/strong><br \/><br \/><strong>1. Laugh more<\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">This is one of my favourite things to do. LAUGH! I love a bloody good laugh, to the point of tears streaming down my face and my sides are aching.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">(Laughter releases endorphins into the body which is a natural pain killer.)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">Watch funny films (Films: Aeroplane or Ferris Buellers Day off are classics!!). Spend time with someone who has a good sense of humour. Or join in an activity that is fun and social like dancing for example.<\/span><br \/><br \/><strong>2. Stop and take a few deep breaths\u00a0when feeling stressed\/overwhelmed<\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">Taking a pause from a stressful or overwhelming situation can help reset your mindset. By focusing on your breath and breathing deeply can help calm your nervous system. At this moment you can then\u00a0re-evaluate your thoughts, check-in on your mindset and make any adjustments to align more positively.\u00a0If you are doing a task, breathe\u2026 and then break it down into smaller chunks. By breaking it down into smaller tasks can help reduce overwhelm.<\/span><br \/><br \/><strong>3. Replace \u201cshould\u201d with \u201ccould.\u201d<\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">The words we use have an impact on our mindset.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">The word 'should' has a resistance to it. The word 'could' is more committal to a task. Use words that have a\u00a0positive impact.\u00a0<\/span><br \/><br \/><strong>4. Listen to mindset podcasts\/ Youtube videos\/ read books<\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">There are so many brilliant resources to learn from and it all depends on who\/what resonates with you but here are two of my favourite mindset mentors:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">Tony Robbins<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">Mel Robbins (her High 5 Habit is good)<\/span><br \/><br \/><strong>5. Say a daily positive affirmation<\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">You can make up your own affirmations that you can write down and read aloud each day, but here are a couple of suggestions to get you started:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">- I am confident<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">- I choose to feel joy every day<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">- I give myself space to grow and learn<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">- My drive and ambition allow me to achieve my goals<\/span><br \/><br \/><strong>6. Surround yourself with people who have habits you want<\/strong><br \/>This is an important one. <span style=\"font-family:Helvetica;\">Embody the habits of people you want to emulate. Look around at the people who have what you want to achieve. If you want better health -\u00a0hang out with someone who has good health habits. If you want to create a successful business - hang out with someone who has good business skills\u00a0and so forth.
